Jharkhand traffic fines

Traffic police in Jharkhand issue challans under the Motor Vehicles Act. Notices commonly cover overspeeding, riding without a helmet, jumping a signal, drunk driving, and driving without the documents the law requires.

The amounts below are the Jharkhand penalty list on file. A pending challan is checked and paid on the official portal. This site does not list your challans or take payment.

No penalty list was returned for Jharkhand.

What is a traffic challan in Jharkhand?

A traffic challan is the notice raised when a driver breaks a road rule. It records the offence, the vehicle number, the date and place, and the amount due. An officer can issue it at the roadside, or a camera can record the offence and the notice is raised afterwards. Pay it within the time printed on the notice so a late charge is not added.

How to check and pay a Jharkhand challan

Use an official portal. This site does not show a photo of the offence or collect the fine.

  1. Open one of those portals.
  2. Choose the option to check or pay a challan.
  3. Enter the vehicle number or the challan number.
  4. Review the pending notices, including the place and any photo the portal shows.
  5. Pay with UPI, a card, or net banking.
  6. Save the receipt. The portal sends a confirmation.
